Ingredients
- 2 lb spicy Italian sausage
- One green bell pepper cut into slices
- One red onion cut in half
- Dan-O’s Authentic Seasoning
- Dan-O’s Spicy Seasoning
- Add a pinch of salt and to taste
- 2 oz cream cheese
- Shredded cheddar cheese, top
Pickled jalapenos
- Two cups of water
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 2 tbsp sea salt
- Two tablespoons sugar
- 8-10 jalapenos
Preparation Instructions
First pickle the jalapenos:
- Then, it would help if you pickled the jalapenos
- Chop jalapenos, then add them to mason jars.
- In a large saucepan, add water and apple cider vinegar, along with sugar and salt. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat and put in a mason jar with chopped jalapenos.
- Place the lid on and let it rest for two hours.
Sausage:
Add onions, green peppers, salt, pepper, and Dan O’s Authentic to the 9×13 baking dish.
The sausage link is sliced and then placed on top of onions and peppers.
Sprinkle the sausage with Dan-O’s spicy Seasoning.
Serve with slices of cream cheese and four jalapeno slices and cheese shredded.
Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes.
